Clean Teeth and Messy Buildings

Good morning! Loved catching up last night! 

Yesterday was Landry's turn to visit the dentist. She did great! She also got an A+ on her dental report card. Phew!

The kids love the dentist at this age so it's actually a fun activity for them. After her cleaning and x-rays I took her for a frozen yogurt with extra gummy worms. She thought it was the best day ever!

Yesterday Michael and I visited the buildings. They're coming along! They're working on demo inside he smaller building right now and plumbing in the other. We've had a lot of rain so it's held up things a bit but not too bad.

Today I close on my condo to help pay for all of the work. Another busy day ahead!

Fun Times In California

Good morning Mama and Papa! One week ago today we were eating fish and chips and picking the most beautiful juicy lemons! I so wish I was still home with you both relaxing on the porch enjoying such special moments together with a couple of cute hummingbirds.

I am so happy I had a few days to enjoy our time together. I loved every single second of it. After I left Orange County, my team and I had a nice few days in LA for some work events. Last night I got home really late and just crashed in bed.

I gave my team the day off today for all of us to relax and enjoy some down time. I had Barrett all day and we did everything from a dentist appointment to getting my car washed, picking up groceries and dropping off dry cleaning. I had a lot of housework and just catch up work to get through!

I loved having time with Barrett one on one. We had a ball from a little lunch date to running around at the park after all our errands. 

He did great at his dentist appointment! He still somehow has no cavities and got an A+ on his brushing and flossing. Between his love for marshmallows, ice cream and candy I have no clue how we managed that!

I miss you both already! I booked a trip home for Papa's 90th birthday today! I will be home Friday the 23rd through the evening of the 26th. We have a lot to celebrate and I wouldn't miss it for the world. I can't wait to see you both in a few weeks and celebrate the special occasion.

Happy Valentine's Day + Barrett's Open House

Happy Valentine's Day, Mama and Papa! I can't wait to see you both soon!

It's been an extremely busy week here. I've been working on the final preparations to get our permit to start construction on our new store as well as loads of things for Flea Style from spring show planning to taping episodes of our radio show.

I've also had a ton of to do's with the kids' school. Tonight was Barrett's open house. We toured his classroom and saw his latest art projects and favorite activities in class. His favorite activity is building with wood blocks. He built me several towers and buildings and could have stayed in his class all night working on them.

Tomorrow I'm in charge of Landry's Valentine's Day party craft. We decided to make love bugs -- cute butterfly looking insects out of colorful paper and bits (I'll share photos soon) -- and spent several hours tonight cutting out the shapes and preparing the little critters. They are going to be really cute but man they were a lot of work to prep!

I'm so excited to head home soon! Michael and I leave Friday for San Diego for a wedding and then I will be in Orange County by Sunday evening. I can't wait to see you both and give you a big hug!!!

100th Day of Kindergarten!

Hi Mama and Papa!

It's been a busy week at Casa Cobb. Michael is out of town until Thursday so I've been juggling work and parent duties solo. I'm. Exhausted.

On Monday Landry had her 100th day of school celebration. They had a cool sculpture in the school's front yard for kids to take photos in front of. They did several fun activities throughout the day for kids to celebrate the big milestone. 

After school I picked up Landry and took her on a play date with her best friend George. We went to the butterfly garden downtown and the kids had the best time running around, watching the bugs and playing outside on the playground.

Today I had Barrett's parent teacher conference and it went really well! Mrs. Williams said he's an angel in class and so polite, considerate and smart. She was swooning over him during our meeting. I have no clue who she is talking about! That's not the kid I come home to every day!!!

Today was a really cold and gray day so when I got home from work we cuddled up in bed and watched a movie with popcorn. It was a nice way to end the day after a long work day!

Papa, sorry we missed you today! We hope to talk to you this week when you're feeling up to it. So sorry you're not feeling great. I know this thing is the pits but you're so strong and have so many people rooting for you!!!

We love you so much and I can't wait to see you in less than two weeks!

Shots, Soccer and Snuggles

Hi Mama and Papa!

It's Landry and Barrett! We're so glad we were able to Face Time with you earlier this week! We've had lots of fun lately with our new dog Bowie. He's so cute and good and we can't get enough of his kisses and playtime!

We've been really busy between school and our swim class. Barrett has also been enjoying his Monday soccer class. Mommy tries to keep us very active so we're not complete wild monkeys when she gets home from work!

Barrett had his four year check up last week and passed with flying colors! He's in the 50th percentile for weight and height and everything checked out great. He had to get two shots and took them like a champ!

Today we went to mommy's building to let in some workers and had barbecue for lunch next door with Uncle Bradley. We took Bowie on a couple walks, watched a movie and did some art projects too. It was kind of cold and gray out so we pretty much stayed cozy inside our house.

We hope you had a nice day and that you're feeling good Papa. We miss you both so much!
