Sending Some Sunday Love!

Good morning Mama and Papa! We hope you're feeling better, Papa. I heard from my parents that you were nauseous this week, I'm so sorry to hear that. That's just the worst! We tried Face Timing you a few times but you didn't pick up. We will try again today!

It's been a busy week here since we last chatted. I have a big Flea Style event next Saturday so we've been working like crazy to prepare for it. It's a conference that we host with about 200 attendees. Very excited for it to get here -- and be over at this point!

The kids are both really enjoying school, their new teachers and friends. Barrett is also enjoying soccer and yesterday had a goal at his game! I'm not sure who was more excited him or his groupies on the sidelines!

This week Barrett got a bike. He loves it! It took him about a day to get the hang of it but now he's addicted to it and wants to ride every single day!

This weekend we've had lots of kids activities. Yesterday we had soccer and then a birthday party for one of Landry's friends. It's beautiful out. I wish we were back at the lake!

I look forward to talking to you soon. Sending you lots of love!

Big hug and kiss,

Brittany

Good luck today Papa!!!

Good morning!!! We tried to FaceTime twice last night but couldn't reach you. We will try again tonight if you feel up to it after chemo. We hope today goes really smoothly and you continue to kick cancer's butt!

Yesterday Barrett had his first soccer practice. Not quite sure you can call it practice, it was more like a play date with a soccer ball and popsicles. But the kids were adorable and had so much fun running in no particular direction trying to kick the ball. This Saturday is his first game and we're all very excited to watch and cheer him on!

Tuesday was his first day of school in Mrs. Williams class. We had no tears and she even said he was well behaved! Landry is still loving kindergarten and doing really well at her new school and with her full schedule. She's pretty tired by the end of the day but slowly getting used to her new big girl life.

For school this week, we made their teachers banana bread and banana "cupcakes" for the kids' lunches. Your mixer gets so much use with these kiddos, Mama. They love to bake!

I'm keeping you in my thoughts and prayers today, Papa! I will be there with you in spirit.

Love you!

Brittany

Catching our breath!

Good morning!!! Hope you're feeling good, Papa. We will call you today for a good catchup. I hope you are enjoying a lovely Sunday morning with some music, coffee and newspaper reading!

We are so sorry it's taken so darn long to post. The week up to the wedding was nuts with family trickling in and gearing up for Landry's first day of kindergarten. And then this week we were in the throws of family in town, kindergarten starting and could hardly get our act together with our new 6:30 a.m. wake up time (Landry has to have her tush in her seat by 7:50 a.m.)! We are finally getting our groove back and happy to share some of our recent days with you!

The wedding was wonderful. The weather held out and everyone had a great time. Mama, that was so special for you to send your pearls for Landry. They were perfect and looked just darling on her! We missed you at the wedding but were so happy we got to show it to you via FaceTime. It turned out very pretty and Megan and Bradley seemed over the moon with everything.

Landry started school on Monday and is loving it so far! Her teacher is Mrs. Keffer and she is very nice. I actually met her about a year ago; she's from Newport Beach! Such a small world. She grew up there before moving to Texas. Her mom still lives there near Hoag Hospital. Landry is really enjoying her new friends, classroom and schedule. She has Spanish twice a week, PE every day and art class twice a week. She loves the cafeteria and has bought hot lunch twice. She has really transitioned into her new school and schedule quite well. I'm still trying to get the hang of these very early mornings... I used to write my blog posts when I woke up but now I'm brushing hair and pack up the gang so we're not late...

She has her own locker and loves it! It was a little tough for her to open it for the first couple days but now she has the hang of it! Barrett met his teacher this week, her name is Mrs. Williams. He starts school on Tuesday and then we'll officially be on a set schedule and I'll feel a little more organized!

We don't really have plans this weekend. We were going to visit the lake house but we may wait until next weekend instead since we have some things to do to get Barrett ready for school. Yesterday we did some housekeeping (finally cleaned out the garage!) and then had some pool fun before movie and popcorn night in bed. Today we're thinking of going to the farmer's market and then visiting Nana and Grandpa.

We hope you have a great day and look forward to FaceTiming soon! We love you!

xoxo,

Brittany
